You need to update to WB 7.41 as this works around this issue in Firefox when you use a skin with larger titlebars.

What OS, version of FF and WB's version are you using?

Open WB config and go to About WindowBlinds, copy and paste the info here.

Does it still do it with other skins? I find that some are awful and others work 100% right.

You are running Firefox skins AND WindowBlinds skins at the same time? Big no-no. You need to either turn off all Firefox skins or tell WindowBlinds to ignore Firefox completely (there are some other settings besides completely, but they take a while to figure out at first) I have found some Firefox skins that I have used, but usually there are color and found buttons and I have to use the menu NOT the one you get when you turn the menu off. That is a mess as well. Turn OFF the Firefox skins and just use Default and make the menu as text not a button. Then see how it works.

You reminded me that Firefox really needs to have the Menu bar to work right. I'm not sure if that has ever been reported. Is that what you are seeing?

I have WB skinning Firefox and I am using the Firefox theme called Silvermel with no issues at all. Even the default Firefox theme works fine with menus enabled or not. All WB skins work fine too.

Firefox 13.0.1, Tom?

on Jul 14, 2012

Nope, Firefox 14.0.1, I am using the beta.  I found out though that if I tell Windowblinds not to skin Firefox, I have all kinds of issues with Firefox, like transparent titlebars and missing titlebar buttons in every skin I tried.  They function, but they are not visible unless you left click in the general area. Turning the menus in Firefox on and off really messes things up too, right cclicking in the toolbar area to turn them back on acts like a rollup and you play hell trying to get the menus back on..  If I apply the Windows Aero skin though, all the issues go away.  So it is a problem with the latest release of Windowblinds for sure.

Under no circumstances should you exclude Firefox, Office or similar apps from WB skinning as they will be confused about the DWM being on, but themes being off.

Hmmm, well I don't exclude Firefox, but I do exclude Office 10 apps because I hate the titlebar text shadowing and stuff.  I don't have any issues with Office though, no problems at all.

Me too, for some WB skins I exclude MS Office because it screws up the title bar so badly that it is hard to work with. I run FF with the "appearances" turned off. Using appearances seem to conflict with the skins. I think it is a per-skin and per-appearance thing, but this was easier than fighting with it. I have problems using the FF button on the far left side and use the good old fashioned menu instead. I did go silly when I skinned the Peacock skin and used a Peacock theme appearance in FF. It worked pretty good except some visual anomalies were noted but ignored.
